Hello Rita,

I wanted to send a quick note of thanks for the amazing Thanksgiving basket that we received yesterday.  (If you recall, I came by to pick mine up, but someone from the county had designated mine for delivery?  You gave me a big hug.)  Anyway, my basket was indeed delivered and I am quite overwhelmed at your generosity!  This is an amazing basket that will provide us with several meals.  And it is certainly something we can use right now, as we are in the midst of some hard times.  We are fortunate to be a recipient and I wanted to extend my thanks.

Also on a side note, your husband looked so very familiar to me and I couldn’t quite place it.  I’m new to this accepting help thing, and as a result felt uncomfortable standing there accepting it and so I didn’t ask him; but I made an aha moment last night.  My daughter and your stepdaughter, Lauren went to school together and spent a lot of time together at birthday parties and sleepovers.  I follow Lauren on Instagram and she had posted about putting together over 300 baskets…connection made…your husband is Bob, Lauren’s dad.  It is truly a small world.

Anyway, thanks again.  I hope you all have an amazing Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season.  I know what you are doing with Sunflowers for Sallie is a lot of work and probably sometimes doesn’t seem worth it.  Maybe even feels as though people aren’t grateful? Please know that it has made a world of difference to us and we are truly, truly grateful.  We are thankful for caring, dedicated and passionate changemakers, such as you.

 Warm regards,

 Deb Clark
