Can you believe that Easter has nearly arrived? It feels like we were just distributing gift cards at Ruth Parker Eason School. Already, we’re into April, spring is on the horizon, and another holiday is drawing near.
Now, we are pleased to work with Marley Glen Special School. This school is a developmental center that provides a comprehensive half-day pre-school program for students 3-4 years old and a full-day program for students 5-21 years of age with moderate to severe intellectual &/or physical disabilities. They are passionate about their work, offering students outstanding opportunities, and giving to the community. We are delighted that they are partnering with us and that we can sow the seeds of love and hope for them to enjoy.
In order to be certain that these students and their loved ones will relish marvelous Easter feasts this year, Sunflowers for Sallie will deliver Giant gift cards to them. With these, they can put food on the table that nourishes not just the body but the heart. Easter, a time for glorious lilies, easter bunnies, and baskets full of candy for all surely has ample room for the sunflowers of joy to bloom, spread, and create precious memories. No matter our circumstances, we all seek and need to be loved, cared for, and shown that we matter, and I can think of no better a way to do this than planting the seeds of love in needy gardens. Where there is love, there is hope for everyone, and where there is food for the belly, there is also food for thought and for festive memories that we can treasure for as long as we live.
Sunflowers for Sallie thanks you profoundly for your support of our work and all we do. I cannot wait to share with all of you the results of our gardening, of our nurturing the seeds of love for a wonderful Easter.
