Event 2021: Our Baskets of Hope event expanded in 2021. We are most proud of our accomplishments and pleased that with our seeds of love, we’ve sown memories that we hope will last a lifetime.

We grew into Sunflowers for Sallie in 2021 and took off at a wonderfully rapid pace. With the Covid-19 restrictions lifted, we were able to bring in more volunteers and assemble one hundred and fifty baskets. Once more, Blind Industries hosted us in their Baltimore-based plant. Plenty of people were eager to donate their time and energy, so we ended up with beautiful baskets of love to deliver to local families. Furthermore, generous leftovers remained once we completed our work. All the perishable foods were donated to the local fire department, and those items that were shelf-stable went to a food pantry close by. As a happy afterward to this, we adopted several families for Christmas, and, in conjunction with many good colleagues and friends, we gifted them with a memorable Christmas. Looking forward to the upcoming year, we know that we will be able to do even more good and eagerly anticipate the planting of a fresh garden of sunflowers.
