Pastor James Chaffin

I’ve had the honor of volunteering at the Thanksgiving Sunflowers for Sallie event for many years, and each year I walk away feeling deeply blessed and grateful to be part of something so meaningful. Sunflowers for Sallie has given me the opportunity to give back to my community in ways I never imagined possible.
From assembling food baskets to personally delivering them, every step is a reminder of the power of kindness. The moment we tell families we’re simply there to be a blessing, and see the gratitude and relief on their faces, is something that stays with me year after year.
It is humbling and heartwarming to know that these baskets provide a proper Thanksgiving meal to families who might otherwise go without. I am truly honored to play a small part in that.
I pray that Sunflowers for Sallie continues for many years to come, continuing its beautiful mission of bringing hope and joy to our community.
