Baskets of Hope – 2024
Christmas
I am grateful for what we have accomplished and to all who helped make it possible. Sunflowers for Sallie 1st Annual Christmas Baskets of Hope was successful! Thank you to Ruth Parker Eason, Marley Glen Special, and Central Special School of Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) for allowing us to help bring a glimpse of joy to one hundred families in need this Christmas season. Christmas will always be as long as we stand heart to heart and hand to hand.
Thanksgiving
Sunflowers for Sallie is beyond grateful for the love and support we received from our Baskets of Hope event on Saturday, November 23, 2024. This event continues to grow every year and with the help of over 120 volunteers this year, we were able to successfully provide 300 Thanksgiving baskets to families in need! WOW! My heart is overwhelmed with joy and gratitude from all those who have shown their generosity, love, and support to help make this event such a success.
No rest for the weary though as Sunflowers for Sallie will be putting together an additional 100 baskets for Christmas in the next two weeks. If you didn’t get a chance to give, we are currently running a cookie drive at Giant Food in Edgewood, MD to add to our Christmas Baskets of Hope, as well as a have an upcoming fundraising event at Bubba’s33 on Monday, December 16, 2024, where 10% of proceeds from dine in guests, will go to Sunflowers for Sallie.
